Helping Dreams Take Flight exists to remove barriers to aviation and create genuine opportunities for those who may not otherwise have access to flying.

 

Our scholarships are awarded on merit, motivation, and alignment with our charitable aims.

Who Can Apply

We welcome applications from individuals who meet one or more of the following criteria:

• Aspiring pilots taking their first steps into aviation

• Student pilots looking to progress their training

• Individuals facing financial or personal barriers to flying

Interviews
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview during the last two weeks of April 2026. All shortlisted candidates will be contacted in advance with full details.

 

Final Selections
Successful applicants will be notified following the interview stage, ahead of the 2026 flying season.

Selection & Conditions

Applications are reviewed by the trustees of Helping Dreams Take Flight, alongside relevant partner organisations.

Selection is based on:

• Motivation and commitment

• Alignment with the charity’s aims

• Individual circumstances and potential benefit

• Availability of funding and flight opportunities

Scholarships are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Applicants may be required to provide proof of identity, eligibility, or medical suitability where applicable.
